Behind the scenes 1 : SWO Children of the future.

Hello readers!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas over the weekend.
On the other side of the hand, SWO and its team had a great Christmas celebration

It's a wrap for SWO Children of the Future - "Give a child a gift of education " event. We are proud to announce that our 2nd Charity Event is a SUCCESS. We would not be able to achieve it without our corporate and business sponsors.

With the help of our event sponsors, we managed to give our children wonderful gift, goodie bags and game prizes! The sponsored items from the companies were greatly appreciate and our team make sure that the gifts and sponsored items are of good qualities and then package them nicely.

We are giving out brand new tumblers and lunch boxes to our children so that our children are able to fill their water in a proper tumbler instead of using plastic mineral bottle. These brand new lunch boxes and tumblers were sponsored by KIA HONG Sdn Bhd. Lunch boxes were given to our children as well. So that, parents are able to prepare breakfast and lunch for their kids.
SWO found out that most of the children in Malaysia do not have their proper meal before they go to school. Therefore, we want to create awareness on this matter to our children and their parents. Thus, lunch boxes were given out to encourage our children and parents on this matter. It is our responsible to take care of our children's welfare for they are the children of the future.

Well, we have another sponsor as well - Miss Kit and Miss Kate, together with their family. They had sponsored us prune juice, biscuits, snacks, sweets etc. Prune juice, thirst quenching drink for the guest at the event.

Besides that, we have different, unique flavors of sweets too. Some of it are imported product from Japan. This will give our children a big smile on their face, which they receive something different than the usual ones. All these are included in the party pack for the guests.

Sweets for the start of a wonderful new year !!

A very big THANK YOU to those who took their time, came all the way down from Singapore, as well as Kuala Lumpur to help us out on packing, and preparing for the event. Although the preparation was heavy, everyone of us are happy to lend our helping hand for packing, cutting, sticking, giving out ideas and suggestions to make sure our event went well. We laugh, and we enjoy ourselves very much in the process.

" TEAMWORK " is very important.
Because, no man is a one man show.
When there is teamwork, there will be good coordination and communication between the team members. Although there were some communication errors in between, but we managed to make this event happen. We were given 2 weeks notice that there will be a charity event on the 24th Dec 2016. Of course we only had 1 to 2 weeks time to plan and prepare everything. Due to teamwork from the committees and volunteers, SWO are able to delegate jobs to one another with ease, come out with idea on how to go about it in this event, as well as get everything prepared ( such as gifts, prizes, media & photography services) within a week.

There is a saying goes by, " Every ship needs a Captain. You can have all the strongest, smartest, fastest sailors on board. But without a captain, the ship goes nowhere as the captain knows where to go. "

" PATIENCE "
is not the ability to wait but how you act while you're waiting

It is important to have patience as well. Patience is about how you act while you're waiting or when you face difficulties or obstacles in what you are doing.
Even though there are a lot of preparations to do, and we made a lot of mistakes during the preparation, we did not point our fingers to each other nor we vent our anger out or blame each other. Instead, we get together to rectify the issue and then focus and get things done efficiently.

Thank you Mr Arul, our Captain who gave us directions on how to go about it in making this event a success.
Also, thank you to Mr Chris and Ms Joyce in guiding and supervising us on the event as to make sure everything went well from the beginning till the end of the event.
And of course, we appreciate all of our volunteers who are also the supporters of the event.

More pictures will be posting up soon. Stay tune for our next post!

Charmain,
Captain's assistant.
